Question 14: Why do you continue to live in Atlantic Canada instead of moving to an area that affords a larger distribution network for your art?

I live in Atlantic Canada mainly because I can’t afford to go elsewhere. When I have more funds, whether by selling paintings or some other practice, I take off, I go to see the Tate Modern in London or I’ll go see the Guggenheim in Bilbao, I’ll go to Venice, I’ll go somewhere to recharge my artistic batteries. My financial situation is what prevents me from travelling. Otherwise I’d be everywhere at once.
