Question 14: Why do you continue to live in Atlantic Canada instead of moving to an area that affords a larger distribution network for your art?

In large communities, sometimes in the largest cities, you also find the greatest solitude, don’t you think? I don’t feel that big places necessarily have more to offer. Media have made things easier in terms of communication. Jpegs get to Montreal just as quickly as they do to Hong Kong. It’s not really linked to the community, the big community, for me, it’s not something that I’m particularly drawn to. It wouldn’t change the way I work. So it’s not a deficiency in itself to be in a small area, not at all. For me it’s important to be happy where you are.
