Question 10: Are there recurring themes or subjects in your art?

The theme in my work is often that of the artist faced with their creation. Nancy Morin, an artist here in the city, did her portrait, she wanted to do a paper-mâché doll that would be a self-portrait and she wanted it to be life-size. Nancy isn’t very tall but the doll ended up being 7 feet long. So at some point it demonstrates that she lost control over her creation, her creature. I found that interesting, I did a painting of it. I do a lot of that also. The artist faced with her creation or even the worker faced with his work, his pride in his work. I see the beauty in that.
