Question 20: In reflecting on your overall production, what are your thoughts on your work as an artist?

Yes when I look for it I can see that I’ve advanced, sometimes a lot, whether in a given technique or in the colours I use, or in attaching works together. I’ve been working for quite a long time in this medium, so I can look back on a body of work and say, Ah, I’ve made those things. But in photography, I’ve recently become frustrated with it, because the work does not move. I’ve worked a lot with photography and now I would like it to start moving, so I’d like to try to make short films. I’m in the middle of the step: the piece does not move and it will start moving. I’m trying to jump to make it move a little more. It’s going to give me much to think about: when you work in the field of cinema, you have to think before you create the work, as well as during and after, the sound track and everything. While in photography, I just have to think about one thing. So I’d like to open the hemispheres in my head with something that is going to offer more of a challenge. I don’t know if it’s possible but it’s something that I’d like. I’m just in the middle of it, I think something is going to happen before long. It’s going to jump, it’s going to start moving because sound is coming, so it’s going to start to move, I hope it will.
